Updating 2010 review: The interior has been stripped back to bare walls, matchboarding or tile effect, with a few dark beams remaining round the bar but the remainder painted white. Visibly knocked through to provide one open area, with a side dining area. There are a vast number of tables in the garden aiming at diners, with a large covered area also. Draught ales were TEA, Ghost Ship, Doom Bar and London Pride, while the food is fairly straightforward pub fare and better priced than many in the area.

Nicely situated country pub with a decent beer garden on the edge of the Wey Navigation and would think this is a magnet for types of people involved in countryside pursuits such as boaters, bikers and ramblers. Inside the pub,one main long bar,set out for dining one end the middle and slightly sunken far end, more traditionally set for drinking, the floor is all stone and the wooden beams overhead are home to a good number of horse brasses as well as beer clips above the bar itself, upon which reside five pumps,all in operation dispensing Doombar, G.K.Abbot, London Pride and Adnams Southwold Bitter, These are regular beers, the guest ale on my visit was Fire Bird Paleface , 5.3% ABV and £4.00 a pint.The food menu displayed on a chalk board looked interesting and mostly priced between £10.00 to £20.00. A quiz is advertised as is a regular meet up of the Morgan car owners club.
Nice pub worth a stop off.

A nice canal side pub with plenty of outside seating if the weather is good. Inside it has lot of character. There is a selection of cask ales is available.the service was a little robotic the member of staff who served us just went through the motions. good food although we thought it to be a shade overpriced.It is certainly worth a visit.
