The Woodstock is a large pub with a large car park on a busy road junction. There is an advertised garden away from the traffic out the back, but I didn’t investigate. The interior is a big open plan U shaped bar area with a pool table and plasma screens throughout. I didn’t spot any Sky Sports signs, but I would be surprised if this pub doesn’t show it. The twenty or so locals in during my recent Saturday afternoon visit were all watching Six Nations rugby on BBC. The bar is stocked with standard draught and the two hand pumps were unused. Cheap pub grub is available for less than £6 a plate.
I don’t plan to return here anytime soon as I found the pub to be bland and some of the locals had an air of hostility about them.

I popped in a couple of weeks ago at noon when they opened. Unfortunately they had no real ale on the handpump, so I popped out again.
