Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Old Ship

Traditional village pub on the village green, once owned - according to one of the photographs displayed inside - by the Nalder & Collyer Brewery (which I'll admit is a new one on me). Nothing very remarkable about the main bar area and side dining room, other than both were in keeping so as you would expect. Landlord and Tribute (£6.20 with a packet of peanuts) available from two of the four handpumps on the L-shaped counter.

Nick Davies left this review about The Old Ship

It's a largish Victorian pub on the village green of the somewhat spread out village, sadly much altered and refurbished, the last time I would guess sometime in the eighties. It somehow feels a bit cold and uninviting, and the once contemporary dark brown furniture that someone has bought for it doesn't improve matters. There are three distinct areas, a pool table corner to the left, a sort of restauranty bit to the right and the main bar area an 'L' shaped affair in the middle. Although it is friendly enough, and doubtless serves its locals perfectly well I get the feeling it is coasting along and needs a bit of TLC. Certainly given the location, 800 feet up on the ridge of the North Downs, on the end of a London bus route, and with some spectacular views nearby it should be a top destination for walkers and cyclists.

Standard real ales on offer, GKIPA, Pride, that sort of thing.
