Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Sheet Anchor

Substantial dining pub / restaurant beside the former Whitmore railway station on the West Coast main line. Much of the exterior and internal advertising relates to the Block House restaurant at the back, but there is plenty of general seating in various spaces around the bar at the front. Three real ales on handpump: Doom Bar, Purity Pure Gold (£4.25) and Three Tuns XXX.
