Alan Winfield left this review about The Newpenny
The New Penny is an estate pub that is situated about halfway down goldenhill road.
I went in the door to the left which said lounge, this took me into a very smart room that was carpeted, the room was on the levels with the front area being raised, the seating was mainy comfortable bench type with normal tables and chairs.
There was a seperate bar to the rear of the pub which was a lot quieter than the lounge.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Pedigree which was quite a nice drink, the other beer was GK Abbot.
The pub seemed to be popular with a mixed age range and i was happy enough having a drink in here.
