Colin Walker left this review about Anchor Tavern
Built in 1891, by Andrew Colville of Edinburgh, and is a Listed C building. For many years the Anchor Tavern became a popular haunt for sailors of many different nationalities. Although Bo’ness Harbour was officially closed to commercial shipping on Tuesday, 30th June 1959 the Anchor Tavern has continued to flourish. This was the busiest pub I have visited in Bo’ness. The pub has a very traditional interior good sized bar and a great gantry choice of whisky. There is parking available towards the River Forth as most of the streets are very small and some are one way.
