The Ingleby Arms is a white painted pub that is on a fairly busy road to the south of Gainsborough.
Once inside the pub seemed pretty much unaltered, there were four smallish rooms which were slightly opened out,we had a drink in the room to the front left which was square shaped with worn leather bench seating, htere was a smarter looking dining room to the rear left plus two more rooms, all rooms were carpeted.
There were no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of John Smiths smooth crap which was a lot better than the last drink i had of it in Gainsborough.
We were quite dissapointed that this pub did'nt stock at least one real ale.

15/04/11 Friday evening table for 6 not pre-booked arrived 7'ish. This is a pub typical of the Lincolnshire/Nottinghamshire type where there is little segregation between the bar area and the eating section. However, we found the atmosphere to be very enjoyable and it was not too noisy. As with most pubs in this area they do not start serving food until 6pm but they had a great selection on the menu with starters just under £5 and main meals between £8-£16. The 12 ounce Gammon was a hit with us at £8.75 and four of the party chose this. Although, this delayed the serving of the meals as only two lots of Gammon could be cooked at once but all meals were served together and let's just say the portions were plentiful. In fact some struggled to finish the main meal and could not fit in pudding but for those of us who did soldier on the deserts were very good value at around £4 per dish.
We found the food to be excellent, the drink very reasonably priced and the service was professional and warm. All in all, we really enjoyed our visit and would not hesitate to return.
