At the top of the main drag. Traditional style pub with cask ales from the nationals. Its ok and is pleasant enough.

The Cross Foxes is a large Marstons house that looks down the High Street from the south end. The interior is L shaped with a table and some bucket seats to the right of the entrance and a sunken seating area beyond. Up the left hand side of the pub are standard tables and chairs which are faced by the bar. At the rear are a pool table, dartboard and retro arcade game table. Plasma screens are located throughout and Sky Sports is heavily advertised. During my visit just after noon on Sunday a couple of weeks ago the barmaid had selected a few songs to play off the jukebox and the plasma screens were off. If I was staying longer I would have asked for the Ashes to be put on, which I’m sure would have been no problem, but being the only customer I saw no point as I only stayed for a pint.
Pedigree, Burton Bitter and Endeavour were the cask ale options and the usual draught suspects are available. I didn’t note any food being available.
A quiz night is advertised, but I didn’t see any day or time. Karaoke takes place every Friday night from 20:30. Free wifi is available and families are welcome during the day.
This is a pub with friendly service and traditional décor that I would return to.
