Colin Walker left this review about Alehouse

The pub has had a name change from Alehouse to Anchor Inn and now finally to The Songbird. The place has had a fresh coat of paint on the exterior and the interior is all mostly very modern. The place seems to cater more for a younger to mature younger clientele. The singer who was on Sunday night deafened me. The other pub along the road caters for a quieter drinking time. The pub serves meals at 3 courses for £10.00.
