Although it is part of a residential hotel, the small, street facing bar here has the atmosphere of a locals' pub and it appeared to be mainly townspeople who were drinking in it on the Saturday afternoon I called in. It was pleasant enough, but spoiled, for me, by the fact that Guinness was available only in the "infusion" variety (i.e. a can topped up from what looks like a normal tap). Needless to say, the price, at £3.20, was the same as a proper draught pint would have been. Strongbow cider, Belhaven Best and Tennent's lager were also available.

We had a drink here in may,and were made to feel very welcome by one and all.A lovely pint in a cosy bar! will definetly be back..
