I have visited the volunteer at different days & times of the week. I've found all the staff to be very friendly, obliging & helpful. I was a woman on my own & both the staff & customers made me feel welcome. The food is amazing.
They're not only doing burgers and toasties. They're now serving curry & rice, chilli rice & macaroni.
I'd recommend this pub to all. Go along as I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

As you can see or will see from my picture, South Bridge Street is now called The Volunteer. Picture taken 21 April 2014. Next time I'm in Airdrie, I'll drop in and check it out.

This pub has had many name changes over the years. Whitelaws then Rams Head then Cheers and now at this time finally - South Bridge Street. The pub has had a facelift at the front of the pub and a partial facelift to the interior.
