Blue Scrumpy left this review about Boathouse
With the Ship Tavern further along the quayside unexpectedly closed, we were pleased to see that the Boathouse was unexpectedly open earlier than advertised.
We were greeted by what initially appeared to be an over-efficious barmiad. Track and trace is still in existence is some parts of Scotland, including here. On seeing that we weren't going to protest, the barmaid appeared to be much more friendly from then on.
Orkney Northern Light & Loch Lomond West Highland Way were the two real ales on offer. My West Highland Way was much better quality than the vast majority of beers I'd tried in the Highlands the day before.
Being the only customers in here, it was difficult to gauge the pub. But it was the better of the two open pubs we tried in this fishing village/town.
