Our base for a weeks holiday - the food and hospitality has been 2nd to none.
We started with a lovely Sunday Lunch and felt compelled to come back later in the week for a similar quality mid week meal.
The owners extended a warm welcome to us in these troubled times.
Two real ales - Tribute and Proper Job. The Proper Job was so good that I couldn't be tempted to change alligence.

Nice pub on the village square with something of an emphasis on food but still welcoming to drinkers. A nice comfortable, traditional feel to the main bar in the front and a larger restaurant area behind with many beams. St Austell beers in good order.

This was a comfortable friendly pub with seats out in front in the market square. Multi-roomed including a snug. St Austell pub and we enjoyed their Proper Job beer while watching the TV screen which was set to show photographs of the area which were good to watch as we had just done the walk round Cape Cornwall, and the photos of the area were great.
The above was in July 2012, and I was back after a walk round Cot Valley and Cape Cornwall again. Enjoyed St Austell Tribute and Job sat outside at the front in the sun. A few interesting rooms inside.
