David Ross left this review about Queensberry Arms Hotel

Behind the rather garish pink painted exterior, there is a fairly ordinary Scottish village pub. It consists of one long, rectangular shaped bar room, with an attractive split level beer garden at the back which offers free views into Nithside Park, the home ground of the local junior football club, Kello Rovers. There is a pool table in the side room leading from the bar to the beer garden and a dart board and a couple of TV screens in the bar itself. Wall mounted speakers suggest music too, although none was playing while I was in. Tennent's lager sells at £3.20 a pint and Carling lager, Guinness, Caledonia Best and Strongbow cider are also on draught, as is a brew I'd never heard of before called "Auld Pub Best."
