Room to left and long room to the right with the bar at its start. Two hand pumps, one on, but weak strength. Rest usual keg rubbish.

What a find tucked away down a back alleyway to me it was the best pub we found that day had a very good pint of Grace 4.3%Sellers Brewery just time for one pint would have stayed longer but not enough time to get as many pubs in as possible in 3 hour stay. Its a must to call in when in Dumfries The McKewans 70s was on top form

The Globe Inn tucked away down an alleyway in the pedestrian precinct. According to a sticker in the window it was voted by the Guardian and Observer newspapers as one of the best summer pubs 2009.
One large room at the back mainly comprising of diners and couple of smaller rooms. Not forgetting the beer garden, quite a good sun trap.
There were 2 real ales available (Duechars and a local brew called Criffel). Tried the Criffel which was slightly cloudy although I have had a decent pint in here on a few occasions.
The pub has frequent entertainment so its probably a different place on an evening.
Its OK 6.
