A gaunt looking rough cast covered bar on a corner, it can be entered from either Princes St or Olrig St. Inside is not as expected from the outside, pine cladding predominates, with a pine panelled bar counter and pine furniture in addition to traditional bench seats. There are two connected bars; a smaller one with a raised area housing a pool table, and a larger area with a long bar counter. Each counter has a single handpump serving Deuchars, otherwise the usual range of kegs from McEwans, Fosters etc. There is also a small range of malts. TVs in both bars, the walls are decorated with farm machinery wheels, pictures of old Caithness and Famous Grouse Saltaires. Behind the bar I noticed a collection of toy cars, a signed rugby ball and a piece of aboriginal art. Very quiet when I visited but it's a comfortable enough place in typical Scottish urban bar style with friendly staff.
