A few minutes stroll from the immediate village centre, this is a hotel with a decent bar serving all-comers. Outside is a decked beer garden with smashing sunset-chasing views down Loch Leven. The main bar is - bar the massive plate glass sliding doors onto the decking - a fairly bland and scruffy affair, save for a wood burning stove and a hand-painted WHW map on one of the pillars. Pool and darts alcove for the locals. Two ales on the go and pleasing to see Cairngorm Trade Winds and Wildcat on, and both drank really well. Best place in town, for my money.
