Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Tolbooth

Decent GBG-listed pub in the old back road located a short distance from the busier through route down by the River Ythan (itself now bypassed by the modern A90). Dark, traditional bar with a lounge area at one end and a couple of smaller seating / dining areas at the other, and in between there are steps down to a much lighter conservatory extension. Further seating can be found out on the front patio and larger paved beer garden at the back. Three real ales on handpump: Greene King Abbot, Cairngorm Stag (£3.80, and in great shape) and Barney's Volcano IPA.
