This is a white rendered, terraced, Victorian pub, once called the Crown Inn. It has a front and rear entrance - that at the front being glass with modern signage in an effort to update it. The interior has a long room effectively, broken into three parts. The top part is more a bar, with TVs showing the footy (I think there was a pool table too). The bottom area has tables and the place does food - though i didin't eat. Not quite the 'bar' you imagins, still more a pub. The decor is cream, blue and coffee and it looks tidy. Old photos are on the walls and there is a jukebox. The service was fine and the younger crowd were in watching the match on the TV. Beer; usual tap stuff with a more than decent Penpoint Stormer on handpull. A far better experience than the name suggested - a more than happy stop-off for a pint.
