The Dragon Inn appears to be a Marston's pub, if the beer range is anything to go by. Unlike the previous reviewer, I did at least have 2 real ales to choose from, as both Pedigree & Hobgoblin were available.

We elected to sit close to the entrance door, which meant I didn't get much chance to explore the rest of the pub or the outdoor area. The pub did not seem too busy. Although a hen party did arrive shortly before we left.

A dartboard could be found in one corner. It certainly wasn't in use though, as a table was blocking any use of arrows.

Staff were friendly enough, but there are better pubs in Narberth. Its central location will undoubtedly continue to ensure its popularity.

Popular with dining families, the Dragon Inn was the busiest of the six Narberth pubs I visited during a recent Thursday afternoon crawl of the town. The bar to the right of the entrance is stocked with standard and premium keg products and I counted two hand pumps. One of these was off which left Marston’s Pedigree as the cask ale option. To the left of the entrance is seating and a dartboard that was unavailable due to tables and chairs on the oche. Some sound equipment was piled under the dartboard ready for the regular live music on Saturday evenings. Next to the dartboard is the food ordering point, I got the feeling that the wet and dry sales are separate businesses that have gone into partnership. The mains that I saw started around the £10 mark and looked gastro in nature. Behind the bar down the right-hand side of the pub is a narrow seating area which was also full of diners. The TV was off, and I didn’t spot any live sport signs but there was some background music playing. Out the back is a large well-kept beer garden full of picnic tables. This pub opens at 9am everyday for the serving of breakfast and closes at midnight except for Friday and Saturday when there is a license until 1am.
I found the service to be friendly and although Carling isn’t my favourite tipple I couldn’t resist the £2.55 price tag. Being an afternoon session, I didn’t enquire about the price of the two pint vessels. I liked it in here and would return.
