Blue Scrumpy left this review about Cornish Arms

Re-opened as the Sandhills Bar, this was formerly the Cornish Arms. It was the last Burry Port pub to be entered in the Good Beer Guide in 2018. However, real ale is no longer stocked and if there is any real ale to be found in Burry Port at all these days, we have yet to find it.

The main bar area feels quite modern. It was most likely been done out before re-opening. Just 8 other customers were present on the ground floor on our Sunday afternoon visit. Half were sat under a TV showing World Cup football but didn't seem to be too bothered by it. The other 4 were around a corner watching another TV which was showing the Welsh rugby match. Upstairs, there was a function room that was much busier. This was hosting a baby shower, with mostly (possibly all) women present. I managed to peer in whilst visiting the toilets, also upstairs. A small outdoor patio/smoking area completes the premises.

The all-keg range was Guinness, Neck Oil, Strongbow, Strongbow Dark Fruit, Inch's, Amstel, Moretti, Glamorgan Welsh Smooth & Corona.

This pub is very convenient for the town's railway station, which is just opposite.
