More of a local's pub this Marstons house. This is a two roomed pub with the bar area between. There were four handpumps, two in action dispensing Pedigree and Hobgoblin. If you walk past, you're not missing much.

Old Boots left this review about The Spread Eagle
A Marstons house with their range of beers on six pulls plus national kegs on a low T-bar. The small front bar is furnished with traditional wood furniture and has clean, neat décor with bareboards and a bit of exposed brick. A few old Marstons ad's brighten the walls. To the back is a larger lounge/diner with a darts board. There are screens and machines as expected. The pub has a nice local feel, possibly as it's in a less touristy part of the walled city.
