to be demolished but the facade will remain and a three-storey building including a cafe, restaurant, bar, retail and offices will be built behind.

Due to close on Saturday, 3rd February. The building is scheduled to be demolished, following in the footsteps of Henry's, just along the road, to that great avenue of lost pubs in the sky.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Tap & Tankard
Decent city-centre pub, self-described as the Fat Cat's "little sister". Features an 'H'-shaped layout with the bar on one side, and traditional furniture but surprisingly light decor. Beer garden signage noted (but not explored). Two banks of four handpumps: half 'home' - Kelham Island Bitter, Crazy ruby red mild (£3.00), Easy Rider and Pale Rider - and the remainder 'away' guests.
