After a period of being boarded up, the pub reopened in November 2011 having had an extensive refurbishment. Dark wood panelling on the right is matched by the dark wood bar on the left. To the right is an area of dining tables, mostly reserved when I was here, and there is a small area with a TV screen and a few tall tables and chairs for drinkers beyond the bar. In the fine weather, many people had taken their drinks out to the tables in front of the pub or beside the car park to the rear.

On the bar were three hand pumps with Woodforde's Wherry, Sharps Doom Bar and Thwaites Wainwright. I had the Wherry, which was OK but not as good as when I've drunk it in Norfolk. The toilets, surprisingly, are through the dining room, but this provides a good excuse to check out the interesting photos on the walls, showing the local area in about the 1890s, I would guess: horse-drawn carts, trams and old train stations.

The Millhouses is named after the area of Sheffield that it is in.
This was a medium sized pub that had been opened out into one room with different drinking areas.
There were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Abbeydale Moonshine which was a very nice drink the other beer was Taylor Landlord.
The pub also did food and i thought it was a decnt pub to have a few drinks in.

Pub visited 10 February 2007.
