We've called in several times since my last review, we always call in here when in this part of town. Considering it's a GK house they always have a good selection of beer on the bar. The Abbeydale White Christmas was in very good nick. This pub would be a GBG regular in almost any other city.

Called in again to this pleasant pub. The company was good, the staff excellent and the range of beer good as always. It's an oasis of calm around here.

What was once a small pub was extended a while ago into the Orchard Square shopping area, which allows the pub to have an outside drinking area and some extra conservatory like space inside. It's recently been fully refurbished and is bright, clean and airy. As you enter there is a small bar area with some seating and then there is a two storey extension with seating areas both up and down stairs. Several handpumps on the bar from GK, Abbeydale & Kelham Island and I tried a Beer Works Horrable Skellington (sic) which was dark and smooth. The other half had a glass of red wine which she said was good. It's a pleasant pub which is GBG 2011 listed and we'll no doubt call in again soon.

Comfortable city-centre Greene King pub. The GK list is supplemented by a number of guest ales; we tried the Abbeydale Brimstone, which was fine. There's a standard Greene King food menu and, as is often the case with these, they serve all day.

While this pub may not feature on the itinerary of those seeking out Sheffield's signature pubs, it's worth a look-in all the same, particularly if you're in the adjacent shopping centre.

The Museum is a smart Greene King pub, handily located in the Orchard Square shopping centre. The carpeted main bar has a good deal of seating in front of large windows, with the servery running along the back wall. It has a bit of a chain pub feel to it, but it’s all quite comfortable and perfectly functional and judging by the customers, it has wide appeal. There are two other seating areas, split across two floors at the far end of the pub. They are also carpeted and have been furnished with some nice tub chairs and comfy looking armchairs. Ornate mirrors and a few pictures decorate the walls – nothing of real interest though and certainly nothing to put you in mind of a museum. There are more large windows at this end of the pub which look out across the adjacent shopping street, making it ideal for a bit of people watching.
The usual Greene King beers – IPA, Abbot Ale, St Edmund and Old Speckled Hen – were supplemented by local guests in the shape of Abbeydale Moonshine and Brimstone and Doc Morton’s Dead Heat (£2.90). I gave the latter a try and thought it was in good condition and pretty good value for money. The staff were well organised, keeping the place looking spotless and serving with a smile.
Whilst this place might not set the pulse racing, it is still a pretty solid pub of the sort that you’d be happy to take non-ale drinking friends to. It is also a fine example of how good a Greene King pub can be and I can only dream that they use this as a template for some of their pubs in the South.
