Rob Hunter left this review about The Chantry Inn

Visited yesterday. There are two doors as you enter - one ahead and one to the left. I went left which led to a small room with banquette seating and some tables and chairs. There is a central bar but this room had five hand pulls, all Chantry ales consisting of a mix of styles - bitter, pale ale, stout and a special reserve 6%er. It took a while for me to get noticed and served, and service was not especially friendly, but equally not hostile.

I went for the Diamond Stout which was very pleasant, and set me back £1.50 for a half.

It looks a pleasant traditional multi room pub, and was clean and tidy. Cards are accepted with a £5 minimum spend. No sign of food being available.

Based on my visit and the somewhat disinterested service it would be a 6/10 normally, but the selection of ales just bumps that up to a 7/10 in my book and I probably would be willing to return.

Alan Winfield left this review about Cross Keys

The Cross keys is a nice looking pub that is set within St Jospeph's church yard.
Once inside the pub has three small seperate rooms,i had a drink in the room to the left, this was a small square shaped room that was carpeted and had comfy bench seating, the room to the right was oblong in shape and ran to the rear of the pub, this room was bare boarded and had comfy bench seating, there was also a small square shaped room to the rear which was carpeted.
There were two pumps in each of the two front rooms, but only one real ale on which was Bombardier, this was a decent enough drink.
There was some background music which was slightly too loud.
This is a nice unaltered pub.
