Still a popular destination, and reachable from the city centre by tram or bus, but a recent visit found the number of hand pumps on the bar diminished to two, and one of those had the pump clip turned around. The other was a beer from White Rose brewery, Tight Head Prop, which was in very good condition but not really to my taste.

The Carlton is a smallish pub in the attercliffe area of Sheffield and it is an oasis is this area as most pubs are either closed, boarded up or fizz houses.
Once inside there was a narrow room where the bar is and this opened out at the back of the pub.
There were five real ales on the bar and i had a drink of Boggarts Ruby Tuesday which was a very nice drink the other beer i noticed was Hambleton Stud and there was also three more micro beers.
The pub was fairly busy mid saturday afternoon and it was comfortable enough.
