Alan Winfield left this review about The Red Lion

The Red Lion is a standard looking white painted pub that is opposite Guiseley's church.
Once inside there is a single dog legged shaped room, the serving bar is in the rear left area which is the larger area, the front right area is quite nice with comfy bench seating, all areas are carpeted, there is a pool table to the rear right in a nice looking separate room, the TV was showing cricket.
There was one real ale on the bar which was Caledonian Rare Red,this drink was quite nice, the new landlord came over to have a chat with me and asked about the quality of the beer, which i said was quite nice.
This pub has been done up a bit too much for my liking, but the beer was nice and the pub open again,so i should not moan that much.

Old Boots left this review about The Red Lion

Opposite the church and next to two other pubs this has an odd shaped interior presumably where some walls and doors have been removed, it still looks like three rooms. At the back right is a pool room with a counter face, front right is a sitting room with benches, tables and chairs, walls are finished in red below the dado and white above decorated with a few arty prints. At the front left is the main bar reached down the remains of a corridor formed by the wall of the staircase down to the cellar. This has minimalist decoration and a sound system with fairly standard bench seating. The two faces of the counter have a brace of pulls each plus a few of the standard kegs, the pulls use auto vac. Beer quality was not all it should be. All rooms have a screen and are industrially carpeted.
