Extended and converted from its Grey Horse days into a pub themed restaurant, a rather dreary experience of family dining and loose brats. The scent of the room will alert you to what’s afoot. Three pulls repeated on two faces of the counter, two poor Taylor’s beers and Dirty Tackle from Marstons / Wychwood. Big screen showing sports.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Brownlee Arms
Renamed the Brownlee Arms in 2013 after the local Brownlee brothers achievements at the 2012 Olympics. This good sized pub has a modern style interior, consisting of a L shaped lounge and bar area, with a dining area at the rear. This well supported community pub had a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and the service was excellent. Three beers on handpump TT landlord, Leeds Pale and Ossett Silver King. We went for the Ossett, which was in great shape.

Old Boots left this review about The Grey Horse Inn
A traditional two bar, public/lounge, pub in an older style, the public has a pool table and bench seats while the lounge has a piano, bench seats, carpet and britannia tables with stools. Hand pulls in each bar with well kept John Smiths, Golden Pippin and Thwaites Wainwright as a guest plus a prosaic range of kegs. There is some nice stained glass over the counter and other features betray a 1930s origin. It suffers from musak but otherwise a good honest pub.
