Old Boots left this review about The Black Lion
A four square brick built pub, probably interwar. Inside a big, single, vaguely U shaped room, games (pool and darts) at the right hand end with tall tables; lower more intimate tables, chairs and banquette seating to the left. The counter is straight ahead with a couple of T-Bars and a solo of usual keg favourites. Obviously there are screens and machines. Standard pubco floor treatment of laminate round the high usage areas and carpet elsewhere. Grey and cream colour scheme. Older age group punters but I suspect that won’t apply in the evenings. The previous review is obviously very out of date.
