Alan Winfield left this review about The Acorn
The Acorn is a decent looking stone built pub that is close to a busy road junction.
Once inside there is a large oblong shaped room with the bar facing, the room is carpeted and divided into two halfs by a wall, the seating is comfy bench type with chairs and small stools, the left side is down a few steps, there is a pool table and darts board in this area.
There are no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of keg Stones bitter which was drinkable, the other keg bitter was John Smiths smooth crap.
There were a few TVs which were showing horse racing, the pub was quite busy on my Saturday afternoon visit.
