Once a roadside pub on the busy A435 the Hollybush is now bypassed and is stranded on the original line of the road. It still has the feeling of a (knocked through) thirties roadhouse about it, although the building is much older than that. There's a public bar bit to the right, complete with dartboard, a posher seating area to the left by a nice fireplace with original tiling and wood surrounds, and the inevitable large dining area to the rear which I suspect dominates the place on high days and holidays. Nice garden outside if you can tolerate the roar of the dual carriageway a few feet away.
Tolerable HPA cheerfully served. Worth a look if you are passing this way.

Village inn down cul-de-sac, just off main M42 - Redditch road.
Its a traditional sort of place, doesn't feel particularly old inside, the ceilings are higher than olde worlde cottage type places, its carpeted with a dark wood bar, oaky tables and chairs, the odd plant here and there.
Very foody, with main meals between £7 - 9. There are kids meals (crayons provided on request!) so presumably some of the early comments are now irrelevant.
Whilst foody, it does still retain a little more character than an average chain style place and does keep a community feel. The service seems friendly and efficient.
One real ale - Jennings Queen Bee, cold but ok

I have never written a review before, but felt compelled to after reading the only other entry on The Hollybush. My Father and his best friend have been coming here for years and we come here regularly as a family to eat. The staff are friendly and the food is great. Everything is home made, tradional pub fare and a few more unusual items on the 'Specials' board such as Sea Bass in Soy Sauce & Ginger. We eat here at least once a month, and when you book a table, the staff always ask if there are any children under 14 as they dont cater for kids. This may have changed as the pub was taken over a year or so back. A great pub, with great food and a real 'local' atmosphere that you dont get so much now, with the vast numbers of faceless pub chains. In fact, i am eating there tomorrow - great value for money and definitely worth a visit
