A decent traditional pub, five ales on from six handles on the bar, Prescott Hill Climb, St Austell Proper Job and Tribute, Bath Gem and Twisted Oak Leveret. Helpful bar staff and an all round good feel about the place.

The Hope & Anchor is a decent looking pub that is a walk uphill form St Georges Road.
Once inside there is an oblong shaped room to the front which runs the width of the pub,it is bare boarded, there is bench seating and normal tables and chairs.
There is a separate room to the rear right which is square shaped.
There were six real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Bespoke Saved by the Bell, which went down well, the other real ales were Bespoke Running the Gauntlet,St Austell Cornish Best,St Austell Tribute,Moles Dark and one from Boss brewery i failed to read my notes of.
The background music was crap, which was a shame as this was a decent pub.

Pub 4 on a recent crawl round Bristol and a really nice place to be. Great beer, good food and nice staff. Certainly a boozer worth checking out if you are in the city. The fish finger sarnies were particularly good.
