This is a fine old pub set down a steep hill from the main A449 road through Malvern. It is impressively overlooked by the North Hill of the Malvern Hills range,
Inside there is a central bar with areas off to each side and a mix of wooden and tiled floors.
It was fairly quiet on my mid afternoon Monday visit.
The bar has twelve hand pumps and I noticed St George's beers and a mix of some mainstream beers and more Locale ones along with cider.
I went for the Pope's MWA Mild (£3.30) which was in excellent condition.
It's a bit off the beaten track but is well worth seeking out.

St Georges Brewery tap and well worth a visit. The pub had a good varied age group, either enjoying the home cooked food or choosing from the excellent range of 15 ales and two ciders. You enter the pub through the patio area at the front. Once through the doors, there is a long L shaped bar counter facing you displaying all the handpumps.
To the left and right of the bar there is various seating areas, some with church pews and also banquette seating. From the main bar, you take a walk along a passageway, which leads to a large front lounge, which has a stove and another bar counter with three handpumps.
We went for the St Georges Friar Tuck, St Georges Charger, Arkwrights Open Ale Hours and a Marston's special Wakatu. The St Georges Brewery is at Colwall, which is close to here.

Looks uninspiring from the outside (don't judge a book by it's cover). Excellent real ale pub, excellent bar food, excellent restaurant as well. Strictly no swearing!
