Set on the market square, and a contrast to the grand coaching inns opposite, the Globe is a small, one-bar pub, the single small bar dominated by a wide-screen tv and gaming machines. It's very down-at-heel and reminiscent of the 1960s which make sit out of character with the rest of the town. Seems to be frequented by Highworth's rougher elements. Only one ale on, Sharp's Cornish, which was, at best, an average pint. I would drop in if passing and thirsty, but there is too much competition nearby to make this an evening venue.
