A revisit to this mimsy Fuller's pub at the request of my fellow crawlee. Three cask on the sticks; Pride, Olivers and a below-par HSB (NBSS 2.5) served in a contaminated glass. You'd think that after the events of a few years ago there'd be a bit more careful regarding cleanliness in Salisbury.

A vanilla Fullers outlet overlooking the rather nice market square. Looks like three buildings knocked into one from the outside, quite higgledy-piggledy. A relatively sterile interior, full of middle-aged people and it was pretty busy – standing room only at the bar (which got us some looks and also meant I couldn’t explore fully). There’s also outdoor seating overlooking the market square, which is the premium place to sit. Six pumps with four on; Pride, Oliver's Island, HSB and Spring Sprinter (fair). Rather like the pub next door, it’s designed to be somewhere for people who don’t really like ‘proper’ pubs, though this one at least felt like it had a slightly more pubby feel (perhaps just the split level interior?) and subsequently more drinkers enjoying themselves than the Market. Beware Fullers ambitious prices, mind. Rated 6.5

Busy Fullers pub with a good range of their beers. Chose Fullers Botanist Batch which was very good, and enjoyed it sad outside in the market square. Staff very helpful explaining the beer when serving it.

Well worth a visit to this 16th Century building that is full of character. The interior was tastefully finished and comfortable and I especially liked the untreated exposed oak beams. There was plenty of seating areas and the clientele was respectable. We sat at the bar and pondered over the choice of five handpumps, I settled on a London Pride, which was a hefty £4.20 a pint.
