The Malt Shovel looks like a decent pub from the outside,things are a lot different inside.
Once inside there is a square shaped room to the front,the floor is modern wood laminate type,the seating bench type and normal tables and chairs,this all looked very modern,the bar faces in this room and was unmanned.
The rear room is larger and has a bar on the left side,bench seating and normal tables and chairs,and modern looking wood laminate floor.
There are no real ales on the bar,so it was a drink of John Smiths smooth crap which lived up to its name.
A bit a disappointment.
