Alan Winfield left this review about The George
The George is situated at the bottom end of bank street and is set well back from it.
Once inside you enter an L shaped lounge, this room has very comfy bench seating around the edge of it and small stools, the room is carpeted,i felt quite comfy drinking in this room, there is a small separate bar to the rear right.
There was one real ale on the bar which was Tetley bitter, this was a decent enough drink.
The pub was quite busy with a good mix of drinkers on my Saturday afternoon visit.
The look of this pub from the outside looked more like pubs in have done in the East of England in towns like March or wisbech.
I was quite happy having a drink in this comfortable pub.
