Old Boots left this review about The Cricketers

Well known single room pub up a side street near the Boltmakers, standard alehouse decor, slightly raised area in one corner, monopolised by dom’s players and unused sound kit in preparation for live music later on the day of my visit. There’s a low sofa to one side and tall benches and tables to the other. Five pulls, four with small brewery stuff, local apart from Oakham, a T-bar and two singles of other keggy stuff. Still sporting Worth brewery livery after a few years.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Cricketers Arms

A small and novel sort of pub, with a good choice of ales, across 5 pumps. The barmaid was upbeat and chatty and certainly knew a lot about cask ales. We went for the Bowman Wallops Wood and the Beer Monkey Uncle Bob's IPA, I went for the latter, which was excellent. The bar area was over in the far right hand corner and looked to be original. The bar was made from mahogany and was quite high in height.

A single room pub on a run down street but a fine cluttered interior and quite a lively pub even on a very wet Sunday afternoon. It can't be described as a traditional pub but not as a modern bar either although it has elements of both. Exposed stone walls decorated with a mix of posters and pictures, the furnishing is a bit mixed as well and there's a big screen in the small stage area, music and comedy are performed here. Five pulls on the bar with two from Yates and three guests all in good condition (it's GBG2014 listed), Flying Dog is available in addition to more prosaic kegs, there are a couple of interesting bottles in the fridge as well. Allegedly there is a bar in the basement but I didn't check that out. The windows are from the defunct Worth Brewery which apparently came to a sticky end.
