Pleasant pub, opened out and slightly modernised but retaining a snug behind the bar and a nice and very effective range. There are some roadside tables at the front, and a decked area to the back by the fair-sized car park up a sharp slope. A warm welcome and exceptional service from the barman (or possibly landlord), who despite being alone volunteered to bring our drinks over and kept us supplied with food and drink. A good range of beers included several Yorkshire brews and some from further afield, and were all in very good condition (Cask Marque listing). the traditional pub food was equally good. I would be happy to return.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Swan

A large three roomed pub with a small lobby entrance and central bar and a snug over in the left hand corner. Six ales were chalked up a board at the bar, so we went for the Wharfedale Dark Mild and Moorhouses Pride of Pendle.
The young barmaid was friendly and chatty and gave us the history of this former coaching house, inviting us to look at some of the pub's features as she was lighting an original cask iron range in the back lounge area. This lounge area had the original flag stone floor, a section of a carved oak beam and the original old locks and hinges on some of the doors. A decent traditional pub this one, where you could spend some time supping.

The Swan is a stone built pub that is in the centre of Addingham which is still very quiet.
Once inside this is a pretty much unaltered pub, there is a drinking corridor through the front door with the bar to the rear, this area has a tiled floor, there are two small snugs to the front left and rear left, the rear left snug had a TV showing football, there is a larger oblong shaped lounge to the right which is carpeted, the seating here is bench type and normal tables and chairs, there was also what looked like a temparary bar here with five pumps on it,all in use because there was a beer festival taking place at the time of my visit.
There was also a very choice of real ales on the main bar,i had a drink of Lock Ness Lightness which was a very nice well kept beer, the other beers noted on the main bar were Mauldens Blackberry Porter,Dowbridge Bowmans,Williams Joker IPA and Grafton Frambois.
Food is available.
This is a pretty nice and unaltered pub which had 10 real ales on the go,ime very surprised that i am the first to review this pub.
Well worth the short bus ride from Ilkley.
