Old Boots left this review about The Rose & Crown

Traditional roadside pub, as James says below owned by the Brass Monkey brewery. Open plan with a big bar to the left, the counter at the back with a selection on eight handpumps, mainly microbreweries, although Tetleys, Camerons and Thwaites beers were also on. Traditional pub furnishing style with tables, chairs and bench seating, décor from whisky drums. One corner of the bar has a big screen and even more whisky drums. The pub is in the Good Beer Guide for this year.
