After an excellent real ale crawl around town and a fine curry there was just enough time for a lastie but I soon wished we hadn't bothered.From the outside it looks a fine ,grand building but the interior is devoid of character and even more devoid of customers.There is a front pool room,the tap room has seating booths around it and is very gloomy.The flatscreens flickered away but were thankfully mute.A door led to an outside area but may have been locked.I was never going to engage with the discounted cocktail menu.
Naturally no real ale,I had a swift half of Kronenbourg 1666 and left feeling it could be so much better if only someone cared.

Decent looking building, ripped out and ruined in typical town centre fashion. As I walked into the bar on a Friday night I knew it wasn't going to be good. There was a large speaker in the doorway with some drunken karaoke being howling through it. When I got inside it wasn't any better. About 8 chavvy types hanging around the bar atared at me as if I shouldn't have been in here. They were right! Nothing of any interest on the bar so I left. What a dump, it could and should be so much better.
