As the name suggests opposite the former Cleckheaton Spen station now disused but a lot of infrastructure remains, the track bed is also part of a cycle route. A two bar setup with central servery, both are similar, a pool table is in the left hand bar otherwise machines and screens, old photo decor. Banquette seating in both and they have carpets. A normal range of kegs but a single pull in each bar, Robinsons Trooper on one, Dizzy Blonde on the other not in too bad condition, which was unexpected as the other punters were on keg and my Trooper was the first out that day.

Alan Winfield left this review about Station Tavern

The Station Hotel is a sturdy looking pub that is probably close to Cleckheatons old train station.
Once inside the pub still has two separate rooms,i had a drink in the room to the right which is the lounge, this room is oblong shaped, carpeted and had comfy bench seating, the bar to the left was empty, this room is also oblong shaped and divided into two areas by a large post, there is a darts board to the front left and a pool table to the rear.
There were two unclipped pumps in each room,so it was a drink of John Smiths smooth crap which it was.
The lounge was quite busy with a rough bunch of men and women, there were three younger men sat next to me,one said he was being freaked out by my writing notes,i offered to show my crap writing, but he was getting more angry by the minute,i dont like walking out when things start to get a bit hot so sipped my drink and stopped writing anything down.
This is definatly a locals pub, probably one to avoid if in Cleckheaton.
