We booked this lovely pub for my father-in-law's funeral reception. I cannot value it highly enough, from the amount and quality of the buffet, to the advice and help from Nigel, the Landlord and his staff. It's a lovely place and I would recommend it to anyone.

hello all,
i have recently moved into the area, and upon finding my feet i came accross the prune park pub, i have been going to the pub / restaurant since may 2010, we are able to walk to the pub which is good no drink driving or taxi fares, we have eaten lunch in the week, we have had meals in the evening, and now they have a wonderfull carvery on a sunday, best one for miles, we have our mum in a wheelchair and the access is first class, we are able to walk the dogs and sit in the well kept gardens with them too, they have live bands on fri nights, allways freindly staff to make your visit extra special, the owners are new so go try it you wont be dissapointed i can say, food top class, drink top class, service top class, give it a go dont drive past fantastic new menu,

Usually go to my Mums on a Saturday but as it is her 85th Birthday next Saturday decided my Chap and I would have our lunch there just to see what it was like and then take the family there next week,
Well Weather was lovely, we sat outside and had a few drinks then we ordered our meal at quarter to two, still waiting at 3pm so we got our money back, ( you had to pay in advance ) swiftly followed by two three other parties,

Staff made excuse that there was only one chef on duty, to which my partner replied that he could have cooked all the meals for everybody in half the time,

Oh and by the way, a couple that were there only wanted an omelette and one of the staff came out and said he is just whisking your eggs, an hour and a half later they were still waiting..... All in all I strongly advise against Dinner at this Pub, ( Before I forget when the Condiments were brought out the Vinigar Bottle had 3 small dead fly's stuck to the inside of the bottle, which we promptly returned to a cry of "ewww" from the Waitress, I give this Pub 0 out of 10
