Have been to Jacobs Beer House once before, but managed a return visit on my way back to the train station a few weeks ago, early on a Tuesday evening. I spotted 7 or 8 hand pumps, some of these I think were off - was a bit hard to see properly as there was a bit of a crowd at the bar. One or two of these may have been ciders. I went for the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Half Moon which was a pretty decent chocolate stout, 4.4% and priced at £1.80 per half / £3.60 a pint. Next I went for Black Mass by Abbeydale, 6.66% and £2.00 for a half. This was also a good stout. Overall a nice pub with good ales, and rather handy for Bradford Interchange.

No smelly drains on our visit thankfully. The pub is on the main ring road island and can be difficult to see as it is hidden behind a row of trees. The pub interior is traditional in décor with a snug over on the left of entrance, which had a tiled floor and a traditional main lounge. There where 9 handpumps with 7 in use, so we went for the Slightly Foxed Howlin Fox. Nothing else caught our attention beerwise, still a fairly decent pub to finish on before heading for the train.

Pub is as described by OB below. A bit smelly on my visit, the drains probably need some TLC. Initially I couldn't get to the bar for a bunch of bar blockers who had just been visiting the nearby Crown Court, probably supporting one of their mates, they certainly wern't barristers. There was also a useless barman on who didn't seem to notice that there were people waiting to be served just behind a wall of dipsticks. 3 beers from Stancill on the bar along with several others and my pint of Black Gold was excellent. So, it's smelly, has crap barstaff and is full of idiots. I'll still call in next time for a beer though as it was top notch.
