Turn down Church Street and you may well think that the Norfolk's closed. As indeed it is during the afternoon, but if you arrive lunchtime or evening, you'll find one of those terrifically old-style pubs that seems to have changed little in years. Just seemed to be a single room and garden in use during my visit. I tried a pint of a seasonal ale from Bateman's and could envisage settling in here for a fair old session (afternoon closing notwithstanding).

Definitely worth a visit if you're after a drink in this attractive little town.
