A backstreet corner Greene King Pub dating from the 17th century. It has been opened out into an L shaped one room pub but still retains a good "pubby" feel,a wooden floor, Oak beams and rafters and traditional basic seating help with this but there is the modern intrusion Of a TV screen and jukebox. Three beers on Handpump, Brickmakers Bitter? Greene King IPA and a well kept Timothy Taylors Boltmaker. A nice enough pub.
