Rex Rattus left this review about The Lamb Inn

This must once have been a charming and delightful old village pub, but it's now a Flaming Grill so obviously there's now nothing charming about it. If you know this branding you will know what to expect. It has a bit of the 'spoons about it being a large drinking area, with dark varnished tables and chairs crammed in, and with the usual bogstandard pubco glossy menus abvailable. There is a car park to the side of the pub, with a garden area at the back which was effectively being utilised as a children's playground when we visited mid afternoon on a warm and sunny Friday recently. There were a couple of outside seats at the front of the pub, which although right by the main road seemed somehow more peaceful than the pub garden. Inside, as you might expect, there were the usual fruit and games machines, as well as a pool table.

The ales on were GK IPA; Old Speckled Hen, Doom Bar, and Adnam's Broadside. We went for the Broadside, which was drinkable but not in great shape.

This is a mainstream pubco pub, with all the internal pub character ripped out of it over the years. There were pump clips of numerous interesting beers adorning a wall inside the pub, so perhaps we were just unfortunate that on our visit the ale selection was uninspiring. It's now nothing like the homely pub it once probably was, but at least it has survived so that there is at least one pub in the centre of Rustington. It's not the sort of pub that I would normally choose to patronise, but I have friends who live in Rustington so will probably end up in here again sometime.
