Requested be closed with reason - Temporary: Previous long-term owners have retired. New owners are undertaking an extensive refit. Scaffolding noted in place today.

Welcoming village pub opposite the green. Two bar interior, with the rear one down a step. The quaint rear room looks like a 1930’s timewarp. Eight ales available, seven from micros plus London Pride, alongside six ciders and one perry. All are listed on a blackboard. Sadly I found the quality to be rather hit-and-miss. Good friendly landlord and affable staff. The rear beer garden is a notch above the average and was a very pleasant place to sink a couple. Log fires in both bars for the winter months.
