Steve C left this review about The Brewers Arms

The first thing seen as I approached the Brewers Arms was a sign in the door window that stated ‘weapons will not be tolerated here’. I’ve yet to find a pub or bar where weapons are tolerated so I usually leave my katana and Uzi at home when I go out of an evening. On the defensive and wondering what the hell I was going to walk into I stepped through the door into a square front bar where some young drinkers were having a dart competition. Standard draught was available from the bar and one hand pump was unused leaving Doom Bar as the ale option. I didn’t spot anyone else drinking the Doom Bar so I opted for a lager which was served by a friendly woman. A door to the left of the bar leads to the rear bar where there is more seating and a plasma screen that was showing a muted football match. The two bars are separated by a stained glass Charrington back bar full of glasses. In the rear bar there are some steps down to the pool area where there is a bar billiards table and a pool table. In yet another room there is another pool table that I think was being used for a league match. There is also another dartboard in this area and table football that was being used as a table for resting pints. I think that the right hand side of the pub where all of these sporting implements are found used to be the shop next door until it was bought so that the pub could extend into it.

This is a reasonable local’s boozer and I would return for another beer, but for crying out loud lose the sign in the door.
